CWG is chartering local CWG Chapters

Printer-friendly version

The CWG's purpose is to provide information to its members and to organize and offer a conference for its members twice yearly; in Europe in the Spring and in the USA in the Fall.

With nearly 2,400 active members and only a small percentage of those members attending the annual conferences, the CWG Board wanted to offer an alternative opportunity to its membership to have current information and networking opportunities and using the successful model set by the Western Michigan or Midwest Chapter in the USA, the Board approved the formation and support of local or regional CWG Chapters.

We understand that everyone cannot attend the Conferences but would like to participate in meetings and presentations that are within a short travel distance.   So, with that in mind, the CWG Chapters were born.   The goal of a chapter will be to provide customer presentations, tips and tricks for modeling, provide a forum for people to ask questions and there are many more topics open for discussion.  The CWG Chapter will be autonomous and will have to follow the CWG By-Laws and there will be a Local Leader or President and a Secretary for each organization.   Those are the only guidelines that the CWG Board will require.

Meetings can be in the evening or take a full day and that is up to the local chapter.  The CWG Chapter Committee will provide support for the local chapters but will not fund the local chapter.  Each chapter must be self-sufficient.

There will be more information about formation coming soon.
