He has over 19 years experience with a variety of companies offering configuration software and consulting services He is responsible for managing and developing partner alliances, sales, business development and product management for eSpline. Don is currently an officer of the CWG and a member of the Board of Directors for the Configuration Workgroup [CWG]. Don recently was with TSC and helped establish a configuration consulting practice oriented around SAP and several third party configurator applications. He also worked with several Global 2000 companies advising them on their configuration software selection and development, partner alliances and business development organizations. He has a working knowledge of many configuration application solutions and is considered to have expert knowledge of the configuration software market place.

| Abstract |
Today is much different than 5 years ago and even 2 years ago in the software market offering for configurator software; either 3rd party standalone, CRM, OnDemand/SaaS, or ERP solutions. The market is contracting and at the same time expanding. Many companies have changed their approach to their customers and creasted vertical solutions, many have been purchased and now are part of larger offerings. This is a high level review of many of these offerings and what they are doing and how they approach the configurator market. Also, there will be an emphasis on changes to the solutions and how they are coping in a down economy.
