- 05/19/08: 2008 Berlin Conference Presentations Online
The 2008 CWG European Conference in Berlin has come and gone. The presentations have been uploaded to the Document Share area. We will be posting some highlights in the Past Events area under "Public Information" tab shortly. For now, enjoy some photos of the event. More photos will be uploaded over the next week or so.
We are already working on the Fall 2008 Conference and details will be posted shortly! So keep the dates of October 6-8, 2008 open on your calendars !!

- 02/21/08: CWG Focus Group on ‘PLM Variant Configuration’
There is an opportunity to setup a CWG Focus Group on PLM Variant Configuration. A telecon was held a few weeks ago and the presentation and other information from the telecon is available for download by CWG Members:

If more than three customers are interested in giving feedback, a CWG focus group could be established. The group would decide on three representatives for the CWG focus group which will be directly involved in the feedback process with SAP PLM. The CWG focus group will collect feedback from among the members of the focus group and consolidate the input to be communicated to SAP PLM via the three representing customers.

- 12/14/07: 3000 member requests reached
This week we had the 3000 member request for the CWG.
Of course this is not our 3000 member but also this number indicates again the enormous growth we had in past few years.
Starting from a couple hundred when releasing the new portal and now having thousands.
Hope this will go on and we could welcome the 5000 real CWG member pretty soon.

- 08/30/07: CWG Conference Kickoff Event – Sunday, October 7th at 7pm
Greetings CWG members,
We are excited to announce a new addition to the conference!
On Sunday, 07 Oct, evening we will be having a CWG Conference Meet and Greet Kickoff starting at 7pm.
Cincom, a CWG conference sponsor, has graciously offered to host this event.
We will be offering early registration to the conference. You’ll have the opportunity to socialize with conference attendees while enjoying some lite snacks and drinks. We hope to see you there at this exciting kickoff to the conference!

- 05/21/07: 2007 Board of Directors are Officially Approved
It is with great pleasure that we formally announce that the 2007 Board of Directors have been approved by an overwhelming majority. 232 Approved while 5 Rejected the slate. Click here to view the new Board. Thank you to all who voted.
- 04/23/07: AGENDA for 2007 Salzburg Conference ready
The Salzburg 2007 CWG Conference is almost here. To get a current conference agenda, please click here. Hotel rooms are extremely limited, but there are still openings for conference attendance. Click here to register.
Contact the CWG secretary ASAP if you have any problems securing a room at the Hotel.
Also active members will be sent a email giving them a chance to vote for/against the slate of 2007 CWG Board Members. Voting will begin this Wednesday evening and will be open for 1 week only. Please vote early.

After negotiating with the Renaissance Salzburg Hotel, we've been able to extend the conference deadline to April 10, 2007 ! Announcing the 2006 CWG European Conference in an exciting, yet convenient location in Salzburg, Austria. The conference will take place May 22nd - May 24th 2006. To read more about the event and to register, please click here.
- 01/17/06:
Opening nominations for the 2006 CWG Board of Directors! Any CWG member can nominate or
be nominated to serve on the CWG board by a simple e-mail to the CWG VP (click here).
Nominations will conclude on March 19th, after which date a nominating committee will pick the slate of candidates
for the CWG board and submit its proposal to the general vote.
- 11/14/05: The CWG Marco Island conference was an outstanding success
The CWG Marco Island conference was an outstanding success, the largest and the most exciting US conference ever. The presentations are available at the CWG Portal document share (registration required). The CWG Board is now working on preparing the elections for 2006 and further enhancing our online services.

- 08/23/05: Registrations for CWG North-American Conference open
The registrations are now open for the CWG North-American Conference! The conference will take place at the Marco Island Marriott Resort, Florida, from Oct 31st to November 2nd 2005. - 08/22/05: CWG portal officially released!
The CWG portal is now officially released! It features discussion forums, online articles, weblogs, a document share and more... Access to the portal is FREE for all SAP customers or partners - please register here to activate your membership.
- 06/21/05: New Article
Doug Beverage, our director-at-large and also editor of the CWG Review, prepared a short article desribing the CWG for publication in the upcoming feature of Sap Info journal. You can also find the text of the article here.
- 06/20/05:
CWG Board is now preparing the fall CWG conference in the US as well as making steady progress on the release of the CWG portal. We are looking for volunteers to help us gather material and edit the CWG Review online, discussion forum coordinators, weblog writers and web technologies developers familiar with the LAMP (Linux+Apache+mySQL+PHP) platform. - 05/27/05:
CWG European Conference was one of (if not the) best in the history of the CWG, with tremendous positive response from the attendees. After a short break, the CWG board is back at work to bring the product configuration community even more value - in particular, planning the release of the CWG portal as presented at the conference.
- 04/15/05: Two thirds of available seats for the May Conference booked
More than two thirds of available seats for the May 10-12th General session in Walldorf are booked already! Please make sure you register before April 22nd, as we might not be able to accommodate all late registrations. The attendance is FREE and the agenda is action-packed with configuration topics!
- 03/16/05:
Release of the new CWG web site, sporting a new look & feel and simplified navigation. We welcome your comments and suggestions at webmaster@Configuration-WorkGroup.com. Our future plans include opening up the "Members only" section, with access to exclusive content, networking and discussion groups facilities and other valuable services for our members.
- 03/10/05:
The new CWG structure and board of directors have both been approved by the membership vote. The CWG board is now busily planning the May session in Walldorf and will be communicating details to all members directly by e-mail.

Voting closes on the new CWG structure and board of directors.
