New England joint chapter meeting with ASUG - July 28, 2011

This was an all day session with the New England ASUG Chapter and held at a beautiful setting at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum.  EMC was the sponsor that hosted the entire gathering.   There were 100 to 110 attending and everyone heard the keynote speaker and CEO of ASUG, Bridgette Chambers followed in the afternoon by a presentation on how the JFK Library is automating all the JFK documents and making that ready for public viewing on their website.

Beginning in late morning there were three breakout sessions with three presentations each; 1) CWG SIG / Variant Configuration, 2) Business Objects and 3) included presentations from Bose, Raytheon and EMC.  At the end of the day a tour of the Presidential Library was provided.

The CWG track had presentations from: Weidmann about their implementation of the VC over the past year with Do's and Don't and an excellent review of their project.  Daniel Naus provided some insight to the IPC with "Top 10 IPC Topics" and Don Cochran presented "Governance, Compliance and Improved Productivity for VC Changes".
