About The ASUG Configuration Work Group SIG
Late in 2010, the CWG approached America’s SAP Users Group [ASUG] to work more closely with them to enable more awareness of SAP Variant Configurator and IPC within their membership. The Americas’ SAP Users’ Group is the world’s largest independent SAP users’ group. They represent 100,000 individuals at 3,200 companies in 17 industries across the SAP ecosystem; customers, as well as partners and solution providers.
In early 2011, CWG members were invited to join the America’s SAP User Group at no cost for new members. As part of this initiative, the CWG and ASUG organizations wanted to form an ongoing relationship and a Special Interest Group [“CWG SIG”]. The SIG was formed with the purpose of making the ASUG membership more aware of the SAP Variant Configurator and IPC.
This ASUG Configuration Workgroup SIG focuses on SAP Variant Configuration (VC), Internet Pricing Configurator (IPC), and SAP partner solutions for configuration. It also focuses on finding and directing participants to tools, tips, lessons learned and educational materials that are particularly useful for all types configuration projects. The SIG is designed for those who want to learn the basics about configuration, work hands-on with configuration and manage configuration implementation projects.
One of the primary goals is to provide increased opportunities to share knowledge, network with others and provide feedback to SAP on behalf of its members.
The ASUG Special Interest Group leads are: SIG Chair - Dave Loomans, Program Chair – Catherine Barrett and Market Lead – Scott Perdue, who are all members of ASUG
