Is it possible to include a configurable material into a BOM with a header that is not configurable? An example might be a bundle situation, where I order a fixed bundled product and one of the items is configurable. The multilevel BOM structure would look something like this:
10 Bundle Header (non configurable)
20 Component 1 (non configurable)
30 Component 2 (non configurable)
40 Component 3 (configurable BOM header)
50 Component 4 (configurable component for item 40)
We have tried to set up a model like above, but when entering a sales order I get a message that configuration is not possible for the item 50 above. I'm not sure if we have something set up incorrectly, or if this is not possible. We considered converting the bundle header materials to a configuration model, but due to the volume of materials, it would not be feasible at this time to convert them. Does anyone have any ideas how we could do this?
