Advanced Variant Configuration - Activate variant characteristic value from future date

Hello,

How can we activate new characteristic values (of an existing characteristic) from a future date using ECM ?

The 'classification tab' is not available in 'MM02 - Schedule Changing of Material' transaction.

In case ECM is not activated, AVC cannot support activation of 'characteristic value' using dependency (as date comparison syntax is not supported in AVC - https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2811232)

Please suggest an alternate solution.
