Howto - Create workflow

First of all we have to create a workflow.


After we added the workflow we need states the first state has to be added straight away.

Normally we need more than one more you can add more by clicking in the workflow menu on "add state".


Now we have to edit the Workflow to configure from whate state to what state you can switch. Just click edit its direct under the "add state" button.

 

We allow the "content author" to switch from:

  • creation -> draft
  • creation -> publish
  • draft -> publish

thats all. Save settings.


If you want to specify the permissions for state which roles can edit, view or delete it scroll down there is a menu.

If you change something you also need to save it. Important the node module permissions will always override them.


Now we should define what our states do. For that we need to go bakc in the workflow menu.

There we have to set a the workflow to at least one content type and then click on "Actions".

Here we can now set up what the states are doing.

 

Thats it you created now your own workflow.
