Bio	Scott has been with Baldor Electric since 2003 has been involved with Variant Configuration since 2007. His role is to serve as a technical lead in Baldor's efforts to develop VC and IPC to improve customers' experience in configuring custom product while streamlining the process to manufacture and deliver that product.

Abstract	The Engineers supporting the logic behind Baldor's VC model needed a way to verify and test the VC model for accuracy, but creating and analyzing individual configurations was not feasible. Partnering with eSpline LLC, we developed a tool that takes a series of input parameters, and steps through the VC Model to procuce all possible configurations then presents the findings in spreadsheet format for the Engineers to verify. As an added bonus, we are able to use the same tool to revamp a legacy sizing tool while avoiding a costly re-write of the application to leverage VC.
