VC Project Implementation Organization

Bruce Knobbe is currently an Engineering Manager with Cameron International located in Houston, Texas.  He has spent over 22 years in valve industry and has 11 years of experience in product configuration.  Bruce is a registered Professional Engineer, the holder of two valve design patents, and won the ITT Harold S. Geneen Award, Unique Team award, in 1993 for efforts in developing a gain sharing program for ITT Engineered Valves located in Amory, Mississippi. He also enjoys getting out in the great outdoors, camping, boating, bowling, tennis, and racquetball.

Sanjay Mulek has over 22 years of experience and heads the SAP Delivery organisation within the company.  With a team of over 1200 SAP consultants he is responsible for delivery of all SAP projects across the globe.  He also heads the SAP Industry practice for IMC industry and is responsible for the VC practice in the organisation.  He has been instrumental in growing the VC practice within the organisation.  He is an Engineering graduate and has a Masters in Business Management.  

Alok Shrivastava is a Program Manager with Patni Americas Inc and has been instrumental in successful implementation of Variant configuration at numourous plants and product lines.with over 17 years of professional experiance Alok has worked in different industry segments like Manufacturing, Telecom and Process.  He has been involved in architcting the Variant configuration project including Scoping, Estimating, Planning, Control and Measuring KPIs. Alok led the initiative to develop a ROI calculator for VC implementation in Manufacturing industry.  He has been a key contributor in successful implementation of Variant configuration initiative at Cameron International Inc. Alok stays in Houston Tx and enjoys playing Cricket, Badminton and Lawn Tennis.

With increasing popularity of SAP's Variant Configuration, there is a need of thinking VC implementation project differently than conventional SAP implementation project. This presentation demonstrates project organization elements required for SAP Variant configuration implementation project. This presentation talks about skill set required at each level of the VC organization in addition to roles and responsibilities.
