Pricing in SAP: Basics and Best Practices

BioKevin Meyer has been a Haworth member for over 25 years.  Haworth is a manufacturer of office furniture, raised flooring, and walls products.  Kevin has been on the SAP implementation team since the begining and played a central role in defining the VC standards and processes for Haworth.  Kevin is the primary VC trainer for Haworth and has trained over 50 other Haworth members on the various components of the VC functionality, inclucing pricing.  Kevin is a co-leader of the West Michigan Chapter of the CWG, the first local chapter to be chartered by the CWG.  Kevin has presented at previous CWG conferences and is excited to be returning this year.

AbstractKevin will give an overview of the basic pricing process in SAP and how variant pricing is accomplished for configurable materials.  Kevin will include some examples as developed to support pricing of the office furniture products he supports, from the simple to the highly complex, and discuss some of change management issues encountered along the way.  Some of the key points to be discussed along the way are: Pricing conditions, Pricing procedures, Variant tables, managing data in Gold data client and using ALE's to move pricing conditions, and the use of Set_pricing_factor syntax to leverage formula based pricing.
