Abstract

Configurable products have a very large number of orderable combinations.   However, there are distinct patterns in feature combinations that customers select and buy.  Emcien offers an analytics solution that auto-detect these feature clusters that have high repeatability.  The clusters can be leveraged for product mix optimization. The value of optimizing the product mix to enable a more agile supply chain and faster order fulfillment.   The feature clusters can also be used at the point of sale to recommend configurations.   Most customers enter the sales cycle with a few features that want, and typically do not want to fully specify the configuration. The feature clusters can be leveraged to complete the spec in a way that drives higher configuration repeatability, higher margins and optimizes the supply chain.

This presentation will illustrate how configured product orders are captured, analyzed, clustered, optimized and reviewed online.  User entered parameters for creating characteristic based forecasting will also be shown and a “how to use” a “Recommendation” engine will be demonstrated for making it easier to do business with in your sales channels.
