| Abstract | Proposals represent the quality and value of a companies products to a customer. In some sales situations they are the only written communication with a potential customer. Apealing documents are often created by hand, which is a laborious and error-prone process, in particular for complex configurable products and solutions. Within an encoway project we integrated our Word-Generation-Toolset K-Document into SAP ERP-SD for proposal generation. Some of the challenges we had to overcome and solved along the way: - Creating great looking quotations which are designed in Microsoft Word by sales force - Understand which roles are involved in setting up the document creation process and the needs of each role - Overcome the technical challenges when working with configurable materials and displaying the configuration results in the final document |
