Bio

Holger Riecke is a project manager with Siemens, Germany, Leipzig for certain configuration and other software projects. He started utilizing the IPC in 2000 with a small modeling project. During the last few years his group ramped up a standard configuration platform integrated into the e-Business landscape.  He has several years experience in modeling techniques (compliant and advanced mode) and integration scenarios with IPC.

Birgit Waschischeck joined the configuration team in 2007. She is a project manger with Siemens, Germany, Leipzig as well. She designed a certain number of configuration applications (technical design, implementation, test and deployment). Currently she is leading the project configuration module within the platform. She has several years experience is software developing projects.

AbstractSiemens AG provides trough the e-Business channal varoius product and system configurators utilizing a common configuration platform.  One major requirement illustrates the compilation of a certain number of configurators to an umbrella for customers. The presentation is about the approach to combine product and small system configurators to a project configurator, including CAD and datasheet generation. The project configurator provides in a nutshell: direct input, project lists, product configuration guided selling, product comparision, datasheet generation, CAD, online services for attached engeneering systems.
