Ph.D in Physics. Senior Consultant in VC and IPC.  I have worked on a variety of IPC and VC implementations with a number of major corporations.   While I specialize in modeling, I find much of my work is integrating products modeled in the VC and/or IPC into other business areas such as planning, procurement, finances, order management, and logistics.  I also provide training in VC/IPC master data design and maintenance and as well engineering change management.  I have presented numerous papers at the CWG and as well at ASUG and Sapphire.

AbstractI will provide an overview of the Variant Configurator and touch on the IPC as well.  Many of the standard presentation are more focused on specific functionality.  Here, I will provide an overall context for the IPC and VC, why they are designed the way they are, what is involved with making decisions to implement them, design product models, manage the master data, and touch on implications of IPC- and VC-modeled products.  I will assume basic SAP knowledge and familiarity with the terminology.
