Stefan has a degree in Chemical Engineering, and has been with SAP since '96 as a developer, solution archtitect and solution manager, always with an industry focus.

Abstract

How to deal modelling wise with typical challenges in Mill Industries: Dimensional products, inevitable deviation in manufacturing, planned configuration vs actual configuration, alternative unit conversion

  • Hierarchical attribute-rich product model: KMAT, configurable variant, batch, WIP batch.
  • Attribute driven Supply Chain & Logistics:
    • Matching Sales-Demand-Attributes(VC)- and Production-Batch-Attributes (Batch classification.) through batch determination
    • Matching Supply and Demand in APO based on attributes (characteristic dependent planning CDP)
    • This will be a recap for beginners on the typical product definition in the Mill Industries. Many customer still do not use VC, but have defined each possible combination as product. This session will cover our view / best practive of using various class-types & ERP master data to deal with the vast amount of attributes in steel or paper
