| Abstract | We struggled with BOM recursivity during the implementation phase at a customer site because it was not possible to assign class recursive material variants w/o an overflow in calculation of the low level code of the material in the update task under certain conditions. Asking SAP for a solution to this problem we got the answer that this is a design gap and they cannot provide us a correction. Therefore we wrote a report for mass assignment of material variants to BOMs which can handle class recursivity because of an optimization on the low level code during the assignment The presentation will first describe the behaviour of low-level-code calculation in SAP ERP for all possible cases of recursivity before the solution approach which was implemented will be outlined. |
